Anti-Terrorism & Countering Violent Extremism

The Africa Eye is committed to confronting terrorism and violent extremism by addressing their root causes, particularly youth marginalization, unemployment, and social exclusion across Africa. We believe that sustainable peace cannot be achieved through force alone, but through opportunity, education, and inclusive development.

Alhaji Mohammed Saeed, Expert on regional terrorism

Youth Sensitization Against Violent Extremism

Africa Eye actively engages and sensitizes young people across the sub-region on the dangers of violent extremism. Through civic education, dialogue, and awareness campaigns, we work to counter radical narratives that exploit frustration, poverty, and hopelessness among the youth.

Jobs, Empowerment & Opportunity as a Security Strategy

We advocate for job creation, skills development, and economic empowerment as practical tools to reduce terrorism. As observed in global best practices, including the views advanced by former U.S. President Bill Clinton, providing young people with decent jobs and real opportunities significantly reduces their vulnerability to recruitment by extremist groups.

Unemployment and lack of opportunity have fueled instability in parts of Nigeria and across West Africa. Africa Eye promotes policies and partnerships that place youth empowerment at the center of counter-terrorism efforts.

Education & Skills Development

Africa Eye supports education and vocational training programs that equip young people with employable skills, critical thinking abilities, and civic values. Education remains one of the strongest defenses against radicalization and violence.

Partnerships & Regional Cooperation

We propose strong working relationships with non-governmental organizations, civil society groups, faith-based institutions, and international partners to expand youth education and empowerment initiatives. Collaboration with governments and development partners is essential to creating sustainable alternatives to violence.

Preventing Violence Through Inclusion

Africa Eye promotes social inclusion, community engagement, and dialogue as tools to prevent conflict and radicalization. Empowered and informed youth are less likely to resort to violence and more likely to become agents of peace and development within their communities.

A Safer Africa Through Opportunity

Our vision is an Africa where young people choose hope over violence, innovation over extremism, and participation over destruction. By investing in youth, Africa Eye believes terrorism can be reduced and long-term stability achieved across the continent.
