The Stay Africa Project is an educational initiative by The Africa Eye aimed at encouraging Africans to remain in their home countries and contribute to the development of the continent, rather than seeking opportunities in Europe, Asia, the Americas, or other regions. The project emphasizes that Africa has the potential to provide meaningful livelihoods through local development, job creation, and entrepreneurship.
As part of the initiative, The Africa Eye advocates for multinational companies and governments to invest in Africa by establishing factories and businesses that generate employment, reduce illegal migration, and stimulate economic growth.
The project also intensifies advocacy to the West and other advanced nations to genuinely support Africa in combating corruption, promoting social equality, fostering justice, and creating sustainable jobs. Such measures aim to encourage young Africans to stay in their countries rather than risking dangerous migration routes, such as the Mediterranean or through Mexico.
The Stay Africa Project includes awareness campaigns and capacity-building programs focused on:
Youth Empowerment – equipping young people with skills, confidence, and opportunities to succeed locally.
Migration Awareness – educating about the risks of irregular migration and alternatives for local prosperity.
Job Creation Advocacy – pushing for policies and investments that generate employment across Africa.
Skills Development & Innovation – fostering entrepreneurship, vocational skills, and innovative solutions.
Diaspora Engagement – encouraging Africans abroad to contribute expertise, investments, and mentorship back home.
Through these efforts, the Stay Africa Project seeks to instill the belief that Africans can achieve success within their own countries and to build a sustainable future that retains talent and drives continental development.
